Ava Berry Signs With Norfolk State Volleyball

| By:
NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk State volleyball team signed Ava Berry, a middle hitter/opposite, after an incredible senior season at American Canyon High School in California.

Berry, a three-year varsity member of the ACHS Wolves, secured 2024 Napa County Co-Player of the Year after leading American Canyon to its second Vine Valley Athletic League (VVAL) title in three years and a North Coast Division II Volleyball playoff win on an 11-2 league record.

Berry led the Wolves to a sweep win over Napa High School to win the VVAL League title.

Berry garnered All-VVAL First Team honors after finishing top three in three statistical categories in the league: first in hitting percentage (0.395), third in total kills (262), and second in total blocks (55).

A 34 kill, 6 block performance by Berry in the first round of the 2024 North Coast Division II Volleyball Championship secured the Wolves a five-set win over No. 8 ranked Washington, giving American Canyon its first quarter finals appearance in school history.

Berry also finished top ten in the state of California in hitting percentage as well.
