Spartans Leave No Doubt in 6-0 Victory at VSU

Box Score PETERSBURG, Va. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team earned its second consecutive victory on Sunday afternoon, defeating Virginia State 6-0 at VSU Tennis Complex.
 
The Spartans (6-9) swept the opening doubles point, winning by default on Court 3. Jakub Solarski and Vladisav Gorbatenko won 6-0 at the top position, while Frederick McRae and Igor Kubalka won 6-2 at the No. 2 slot.
 
Norfolk State continued the hot start with a dominant showing in singles, starting with a 6-0, 6-0 victory by Solarski at the top spot in the lineup. Gorbatenko took down Bryan Jordan 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 2 position, as McRae cruised past Krishi Motam 6-0, 6-0 on Court 3.
 
Igor Kubalka continued his terrific freshman campaign, beating Jalen Felix 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 position. Luka Cvjetkovic closed things out with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Melvin Cooper on Court 5.
