Spartans Fall to Elon in Regular Season Finale

Box Score ELON, N.C. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team fell 4-0 to Elon in the Spartans' final match of the 2025 regular season.
 
Elon took the opening doubles point with wins on Courts 1 and 2, both by 6-2 scores. The third match went unfinished, with the Phoenix holding a 4-3 lead at the No. 3 position.
 
Oskar Antinheimo earned a win by opponent retirement over Frederick McRae at the No. 3 singles position, before Veljko Krisitc defeated Vladisav Gorbatenko 6-0, 6-3 at the top spot in the lineup.
 
Alonso Roca clinched the match for Elon, defeating Michele Elia 6-0, 6-0 on Court 6. Deniz Okyay and Igor Kubalka held slim advantages at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions, respectively, when play came to a close.
 
Norfolk State now turns its sights to the 2025 MEAC Tennis Championships, taking place from Apr. 24-26 in Cary, N.C.
