NORFOLK, Va. --- Norfolk State senior distance runner
Gidion Sigei has received MEAC Track Athlete of the Week honors following his performance at the Penn Relays from Apr. 24-26.

Sigei broke both the MEAC and NSU school records in the 10,000 meters, clocking a time of 29:07.85 to place second. Both records were previously set by Sigei last season at the same event.

Sigei and the Norfolk State track & field team return to action from May 15-17 at the MEAC Outdoor Championships, taking place at William "Dick" Price Stadium.
