NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State freshman
Sofiya Tsitavets earned her third MEAC Rookie of the Week accolade on Wednesday morning, strengthening her case for the MEAC Rookie of the Year award.
The Spartans played just one dual match last week, earning vengeance against rival Hampton in a 5-2 Battle of the Bay victory. Tsitavets led the way with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the top singles position against Diana Starodubtseva.

Ines Sabadie, Tsitavets also notched a 6-2 doubles victory at the No. 2 position against the Pirates.
Norfolk State returns to action on Thursday, Apr. 10 for an 11 a.m. showdown with South Carolina State at NSU Tennis Complex.
