BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- The Norfolk State volleyball team will compete in the Campbell Invitational on Sept. 5-6. The Spartans will face UNC Greensboro, Gardner-Webb, and host Campbell during the two-day event.
Norfolk State is searching for its first win of the season after going 0-4 at the UCF Tournament and falling to nationally ranked Florida.
Gabrielle Gilbert leads the Spartans with 51 kills, while
Mary Nahinu anchors the defense with 43 digs.

About UNC Greensboro
UNC Greensboro comes in at 3-0. Allie Sweet leads the team with 51 kills, while the Spartans are hitting .269 as a unit. Libero Chloe Nussbaum averages 6.64 digs per set, ranking first in the nation.
UNCG was picked to finish fifth in the Southern Conference preseason poll. Norfolk State is 0-5 all-time against UNCG.
