NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State sophomore catcher
Bristyl Riddick was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Riddick powered the Spartans to a 2-2 weekend with wins over Quinnipiac and Saint Francis (Pa.).
She batted .462, scoring four runs on six hits while driving in four RBI. Riddick blasted three home runs, including a two-homer performance in the Spartans' 4-2 victory over Saint Francis on Saturday. She also added a double against Quinnipiac and a stolen base.
In the field, Riddick was flawless, recording 13 putouts and three assists on 16 chances with no errors.
Norfolk State returns to action this weekend, hosting Saint Peter's for a three-game series at the NSU Softball Field.
