NORFOLK, Va. --- The Norfolk State baseball team fell 15-8 to Navy on Tuesday evening at Marty L. Miller Field.

Norfolk State dropped to 2-12 on the season, while Navy improved to 12-4.
Ryan Sellers (0-1) started on the mound for NSU and took the loss.

Thomas Ealey led the Spartans with three hits, while
Cameron Mazell added two hits and scored twice.
Justin Journette drove in two runs, and
Kydese Queen contributed two hits and an RBI.
Mason Mompoint also added two hits and a run as Norfolk State finished with 10 total hits.

Myles Crocker,
Sean Harris-Walter,
Donovan Whitfield, and
CJ Patterson pitched in relief. Sellers, Whitfield, and Patterson each recorded two strikeouts.

The Spartans struck first in the bottom of the first inning. Journette drove in Ealey, and Mazell added an RBI to score
Jaydan Israel, giving Norfolk State an early 2-0 lead.

Navy answered with a seven-run second inning. The Midshipmen added two runs in the third and five in the fourth to extend their lead to 15-2.

Norfolk State rallied in the bottom of the fifth, its biggest inning of the game. Ealey scored after
Josiah Harrison drew a walk, and Mompoint drove in two runs to make it 15-5. Norfolk State added two more runs later in the inning on a Navy error and a Queen single.

The Spartans added one final run in the bottom of the ninth when Mazell homered to right field. Navy held on to win 15-8.
