NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State men's tennis swept the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) weekly honors as Szymon Janzen was named MEAC Player of the Week while Marcin Andrzejczak earned MEAC Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Janzen delivered a flawless performance at the MEAC Tennis Round Up, going a perfect 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles play. Competing at the No. 3 singles position, Janzen opened the weekend with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 sweep over Coppin State's Ulugbek Abdurakhmono before following with a 6-0, 6-3 victory against Howard's Marcus Weekes. He capped his weekend with a strong 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win over Morgan State's Roman Filima.

In doubles action, Janzen paired with Przemek Nikolajuk to post a 3-0 record at the No. 3 flight. The duo secured wins over Coppin State (6-1), Howard (6-4), and Morgan State (6-2).

Andrzejczak continued his strong freshman campaign with an impressive showing at the top of the lineup, going 3-0 in singles play at the No. 1 position. He began the weekend with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 victory over Coppin State's Rishi Jalota, followed by a 6-3, 6-3 win against Howard's Michael Major Jr.

He closed out the round up with a resilient three-set comeback victory over Morgan State's Rhajzon Rankins, rallying for a 6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 6-2 decision.

In doubles play, Andrzejczak added a victory at the No. 1 flight alongside Patryk Kowal, defeating Coppin State's tandem 6-2.
