LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The Norfolk State track & field program qualified four student-athletes for the NCAA East First Round at the Jim Green Track and Field Center in Lexington, Ky., May 27-30.
 
LIST OF QUALIFIERS
Men's

• Kendrick Winfield – 400 meters
• Kristopher Stephens – Triple Jump
• Christopher Basking – 100 meters

Women's

• Brooklyn Robinson – 100 meter Hurdles

 
AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE STUDENT ATHLETES
Winfield captured the 400-meter title at the MEAC Outdoor Championships for the second consecutive season, posting a personal-best time of 46.05. He also won the event at the Bill Carson Invitational (47.59) and the NSU Invitational (46.69).
 
Stephens earned MEAC Most Outstanding Field Athlete honors after winning the triple jump with a leap of 15.64 meters. Earlier in the season, Stephens won the triple jump at the NSU Invitational with a mark of 14.73 meters
 
Basking claimed the MEAC title in the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 10.18. He also recorded three top-10 finishes in the 100 meters during the outdoor season.
 
Robinson posted a season-best time of 13.13 in the 100-meter hurdles finals to earn silver at the MEAC Outdoor Championships. She also finished inside the top five at all outdoor meets in the event.

• Women's 100 meter hurdles (Quarterfinals)* – 6:15 p.m.
