NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State Athletics is now accepting nominations for the Norfolk State University Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Nominations will be accepted through Friday, July 24, 2026, at 5 p.m. for consideration by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. All nominations must be submitted online through the official nomination form available at:

The Norfolk State University Athletics Hall of Fame was established to preserve and celebrate the historical contributions of teams, individuals, traditions, and accomplishments within the department of intercollegiate athletics. The Hall of Fame honors generations of student-athletes, coaches, administrators, supporters, and other contributors who have played a significant role in the success and growth of Norfolk State Athletics.
Eligible nominees may be considered in the following categories:
Athlete nominees must have distinguished themselves through participation in a Norfolk State varsity sport and must have completed at least five years since their final season of competition. Coaches, teams, supporters, and meritorious service nominees must have made significant contributions to the success, development, and advancement of Norfolk State Athletics and its student-athletes.
The Hall of Fame features an exhibit honoring its members while chronicling the rich history and evolution of Spartan Athletics. Inductees selected for the Class of 2026 will be recognized during the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony, with details regarding the date and location to be announced at a later time.
