LYNCHBURG, Va. — Nicki Scripko hit .500 with 18 kills and two service aces as the Liberty University Flames downed Norfolk State 3-0 Tuesday night at the Vines Center. The Flames took the match 30-11, 30-17, 30-14.

Liberty (18-7) generated lots of offense with the use of 14 different players. The Flames hit .324 as a team for the match with 54 kills, 52 assists, and seven aces. The defense did not disappoint either, as Liberty had 48 digs and eight total blocks.

For NSU (5-23), Shardonay Blueford (Chesapeake, Va.) had five kills and a team-high tying nine kills. Solange Honore had 15 assists, while Chantel Cherry (Portsmouth, Va.) and Vanessa Faircloth (Lumbeton, N.C.) each had four kills.

The Spartans return to conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 30 when they host North Carolina A&T at 7 p.m.
