ORANGEBURG, S.C — The Norfolk State women's tennis team had its four-game win streak snapped on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to South Carolina State, the reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Champions.

The Lady Bulldogs (8-1, 4-0 MEAC) won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches in straight sets.

The Spartans (4-4, 2-1) MEAC won at least one game in each of their singles matches. Ashlee Daugherty (Las Vegas, Nev.) won six games at No. 6 singles in the losing effort, falling to Iveta Blodniece 6-2, 6-4.

NSU returns home to host Virginia State on April 2.
