GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Jonee Artis (Chesapeake, Va.) tied for sixth in the high jump with a jump of five feet, seven inches, while She'Anna Mitchell (Hampton, Va.) finished 11th after clearing 5-5 at the 2009 Pepsi Florida Relays on the campus of the University of Florida.

The Spartans had three finishers in the 5000 meter run. Jamia Hutto (Orlando, Fla.) led her teammates by finishing 31st in 20:43.46. Tia Miles (Richmond, Va.) and Syeeda Gee (Philadelphia, Pa.) trailed Hutto finishing in 20:52.09 and 21:00.50, respectively.

Tierra Flowers (Coatesville, Pa.) ran a 12.05 in the 100 meters, while Allyssa Pickett (Hampton, Va.) finished the 400 hurdles in 1:02.49.

Victoria Faulkner (Newport News, Va.) and Wanetta Kirby (Richmond, Va.) finished the 100 meters in 14.82 and 14.89, respectively.

Faulkner, Cheri Hodges (Raleigh, N.C.), Flowers, and reining MEAC Athlete of the Week Portia Davenport (Dale City, Va.) posted a time of 47.61 in the 4x100 relay.

NSU takes the short trip to Hampton, Va. on Saturday to participate in the Hampton Relays.
