NORFOLK, Va. – Freshman Gabriella Jonsson and senior Jennifer Astbury of the Norfolk State tennis team wrapped up play in the ITA Atlantic Regional on Friday at Old Dominion's Folkes-Stevens Outdoor Courts.

Competing in the main draw of the singles bracket on Friday, Jonsson fell to William & Mary's Anik Cepeda, 6-2, 6-0. A day earlier in the singles qualifying bracket, Astbury lost to Maryland's Burce Kurkan, 6-4, 6-1.

In doubles action on Thursday, the pair lost to Yana Mavrina and another player from Temple, 8-2.

The ITA marks the last fall competition for the women's tennis team. The Spartans kick off the spring portion of their season at Old Dominion Jan. 16.
