NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State University senior guard Michael Deloach (Rocky Mount, N.C.) was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 15 first team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The 6-foot, 175-pound Deloach is a two-time first-team All-MEAC selection. He ranked second in the MEAC and in the top 10 nationally in both scoring (21.7) and steals per game (2.6) this season. Deloach is one of just four Division I players this season to average 20 points, four rebounds and three assists per game.
Deloach concluded his stellar four-year career with 1,796 points, eighth-best in NSU history. Deloach was joined on the first team by Morgan State's Reggie Holmes and Kevin Thompson, South Carolina State's Jason Flagler, and Bethune-Cookman's C.J. Reed. Those five athletes are now eligible to be named to the State Farm Division I All-America teams, which will be announced on April 3 during Final Four weekend.
