NORFOLK, Va. – NSU freshman Dexter McDowell (Suffolk, Va.) was named the MEAC Tennis Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced.

McDowell earned his third singles win of the season, beat Maryland Eastern-Shore's Osvaldo Rivera 7-6 (8-3), 6-4 to help the Spartans win their third dual match of the spring on March 21.

McDowell also earned conference Rookie of the Week honors for Feb. 22.
