LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Norfolk State men's cross country team finished 18th at the NCAA Pre-National Meet on Saturday.  The meet was held at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

NSU finished the meet with 408 points.  Teams finishing in the top three include Indiana (83), Eastern Kentucky (101), and Akron (186).  Fellow MEAC opponent Florida A&M (261) tied for fifth overall with Ohio.

Juniors Kipchirchir Kiptoo (25:38.30), Nathnael Meseret (25:42.90), and Damtew Adnew (25:44.10) placed 89th, 103rd, and 106th overall.  Senior Vincent Rono (25:54.90) finished 125th.  Freshmen Desmond Fogg (27:09.70), Joshua Carino (28:33.90), and #Jerome Scurry, Jr.# (30:13.60) placed 230th, 267th, and 278th.

The Spartans will travel to Princess Anne, Md., on Oct. 27 to compete at the MEAC Championship hosted by UMES.
