Complete 2012 MEAC Men's Cross Country Results
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Senior Vincent Rono placed fourth with a time of 25:28.55 and led the Norfolk State men's cross country team to a second place finish at the MEAC Championship. This is the first time in four years that NSU has not won the MEAC title. The 8K race was held at the UMES Cross Country Course on Saturday morning.
The Spartan men finished the meet with 49 points. Florida A&M won the event tallying 28 points. Howard rounded out the top three teams with 53 points.
Juniors Nathnael Meseret (25:55.52), Kipchirchir Kiptoo (26:06.17) and Damtew Adnew (26:17.46) placed seventh, ninth and 11th overall. Freshmen Desmond Fogg (26:55.22), Joshua Carino (28:21.38) and #Jerome Scurry, Jr.# (29:14.96) placed 18th, 30th and 41st.
The Spartans will travel to Charlotte, N.C., to compete at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 9..
