WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – No. 42-ranked Wake Forest posted a 7-0 sweep of the Norfolk State men's tennis team in a Friday evening match at the Indoor Tennis Center on the campus of Wake Forest.
The victory improved the Demon Deacons' record to 8-4 on the season, while the Spartans saw their record drop to 1-6 so far in 2012.
Senior
Arsenio Culver had the best match of the night at No. 2 singles against No. 118th-ranked Danny Kreyman. In the first set, Kreyman won by a 7-6 score after taking the tiebreaker, 7-4. He then defeated Culver in the second set, 6-2, for the win.

Ben Marks also fell to Conner Sherwood and Sam Wells at No. 1 doubles by an 8-5 margin. Marks also played at No. 1 singles later in the day against David Hopkins, falling by a 6-2, 6-0 score.
Freshman
Igor Braga and
Daniel Grauel lost at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, both by a 6-0, 6-2 score. Braga dropped his match against Amogh Prabhakar, while Grauel was upended by Conner Sherwood at the fourth position.
Alex Tsai downed NSU senior
Roosevelt Cooper 6-3, 6-1, at the sixth singles slot, while senior
Christian Romanzini came up short in a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Adam Lee at the fifth position.
In the other two doubles matches, Braga and freshman
Shaheed Mourillon-Swift lost to Hopkins and Tsai at No. 3 doubles, 8-3, while Romanzini and Grauel fell to Lee and Prabhakar at the second position, 8-0.
NSU will return to the courts Saturday at 11 a.m. against Wake Forest's cross-town neighbor Winston-Salem State.
