Williams Named to Lou Henson Preseason All-America Team

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State senior guard Pendarvis Williams was named to the 2013 Lou Henson Preseason All-America Team, as announced by CollegeInsider.com recently.

Last year's MEAC Player of the Year, Williams was one of 25 mid-major players, and the only one from the MEAC, to earn a spot on the preseason team.

Williams earned first-team all-state and first-team NABC All-District 15 honors last season after leading the Spartans to a 16-0 regular season record in the MEAC. NSU finished 21-12 overall and made its second-ever postseason appearance after playing in the NIT.

The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the top mid-major player in Division I basketball. Former Spartan Kyle O'Quinn took home the award in 2012.
