NORFOLK, Va. – Freshman Dzmitry Zyhmantovich was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week for men's tennis, the conference office announced on Wednesday. This is the fourth time this season that Zyhmantovich has earned this honor.

The Spartans (4-5, 2-0) claimed a 4-0 victory over N.C. Central at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on Feb. 23. In the No. 1 singles spot, Zyhmantovich defeated Thomas Persico, 6-0, 5-0, by default due to Persico's behavior. Zyhmantovich also led off in the in the doubles competition as he paired with junior Peter Ramstromer-Pello and posted an 8-3 win over Jose Fabara and Daniil Gerasimov.

NSU returns to action this weekend as they take on Bethune-Cookman on Saturday at the MEAC Southern Division Round-up in Florence, S.C. Play begins at 2:30 p.m.
