2014 MEAC Indoor Championship Results
LANDOVER, Md. – Junior
Tiara Davis won the women's pole vault on Saturday morning to help the Norfolk State women's track and field team finish fourth at the 2014 MEAC Indoor Championships at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex.
The Spartans finished with 64 total points. Hampton won the MEAC women's title with 147 points. Florida A&M was second with 133 and Morgan State took third with 74.
Davis cleared a top height of 10 feet, 5.5 inches Saturday, just missing out on her indoor PR of 10-6. It was still more than enough to help her win her first career MEAC title (indoors or outdoors) after three previous runner-up finishes.

Te'Shaibrah Myles, too fourth place in the same event with a top effort of 9-5.75.
The pole vaulters claimed two of NSU's five top-five finishes on Saturday. Sophomore
Kiara Howell placed third in the shot put with a best throw of 45-8.5. On the track, junior
Qua'Nesha Wallace clocked a time of 7.51 seconds to earn fourth place in the 60 meter dash.
Rachel Webb also earned a top-five finish on Saturday, running an indoor PR of 10:46.41 to claim fifth place in the 3,000 meters.
The Spartans will take a month off before opening outdoor season in mid-March at Coastal Carolina.
