NORFOLK, Va. – Coming off a spectacular comeback victory at William & Mary on Saturday, the Norfolk State men's basketball team returns to Echols Hall for an 8 p.m. matchup with Bowling Green on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

In addition to radio coverage on 91.1 FM, Wednesday's game will be broadcast on HBCU Go. The Spartans will need a strong showing to halt the Falcons (4-5), who are coming off two straight wins against Norfolk State's local (Hampton) and MEAC (Morgan State) competition.

As part of the "State and City Employees Night" festivities, free admission will be offered to fans with a state or city employee identification.

Norfolk State used a dominant final stretch to defeat William & Mary 67-53 on Saturday, outscoring the Tribe 24-2 in the game's final eight minutes and thirty seconds. The victory marked the Spartans second victory over the Tribe in the last two seasons.

Two Spartans received MEAC weekly honors on Tuesday for their outstanding performances against the Tribe.
Joe Bryant Jr. earned MEAC Co-Player of the Week honors, stuffing the stat sheet with 24 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
Chris Ford, making his first start of the season, racked up a career-high seven blocks to take MEAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Scouting the Falcons

Bowling Green has picked up wins over Air Force, Oakland, Morgan State, and Hampton, but has dropped several key matchups including losses to St. Bonaventure and Southern Indiana.

The Falcons average 72.1 points per game, thanks to a well-balanced array of scorers. Four players on the Bowling Green roster average double-figures in the scoring department this season, led by senior guard Leon Ayers III.

Norfolk State and Bowling Green have split four meetings in the programs' histories, both teams winning twice. After dropping the first two matchups in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, NSU has won the last two contents between the schools.
