Johnson, Clark garner MEAC Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va. -  The Norfolk State women's basketball team saw two student-athletes win weekly Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) awards.

Diamond Johnson was named MEAC Player of the Week, while Da'Brya Clark was awarded MEAC Rookie of the Week.

The Spartans are coming off two dominant victories over South Carolina State, 87-25, and North Carolina Central, 72-44.

Johnson, the Philadelphia, Pa. native, averaged 23 points, 2.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds on 50 percent shooting.

The Baltimore, M.D. native, Clark dropped double figures in both wins.. She averaged 11.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 steald while shooting 42.8 percent from three-point range.

The Spartans take their seven game win streak on the road to Coppin State on Saturday.
