Clinton Earns BOXTOROW HBCU Impact Award; Clark and Clinton Named First Team All-Americans

NORFOLK, Va. --- The Norfolk State women's basketball team collected three honors from BOXTOROW on Thursday morning.
 
Jasha Clinton earned the HBCU Impact Award, while Clinton and Da'Brya Clark received BOXTOROW HBCU All-America First-Team honors. Clinton became the second Spartan to earn the Impact Award, joining Diamond Johnson (2023-24). Norfolk State also placed two players on the All-America First Team for the second consecutive year.
 
Clark led the Spartans offensively, averaging 14.0 points per game. She added 5.1 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.2 assists, and 1.0 blocks per contest. Clark set the program's single-season record with 73 made 3-pointers, surpassing Johnson (2024-25). She also earned All-MEAC First-Team honors.
 
Clinton anchored Norfolk State's defense, ranking ninth nationally in steals per game (3.4) and 10th in total steals (100). She averaged 13.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. Clinton also claimed MEAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-MEAC Second-Team honors.
 
Norfolk State continues its season this week in the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT), hosting Loyola Chicago in the opening round at Echols Hall on Saturday, March 21, at 2 p.m.
