NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State football head coach Dawson Odums has released the team's 2024 spring practice schedule, culminating in the annual spring scrimmage on Mar. 30 at 2 p.m.
 
The Spartans will conduct their first official spring practice on Friday, Mar. 1 at 8 a.m. Norfolk State will participate in 15 practices during the month of March, with a one-week spring break from Mar. 10 to Mar. 16.
 
Norfolk State will host its annual spring scrimmage at 2 p.m. on Mar. 30 at William "Dick" Price Stadium, the first opportunity for fans to get a look at the 2024 team. The Spartans recently completed a 2024 signing class of 27 student-athletes, featuring multiple players with offers from Power-5 programs.

The Spartans will also hold Junior Day on Mar. 30, hosting a large wave of recruits on Norfolk State's campus.
 
All spring practices are closed to the public.
 
The Spartans open the 2024 season at the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Atlanta against the Florida A&M Rattlers, defending celebration bowl champions. The game is slated for Saturday, Aug. 24, with Norfolk State's home opener against Virginia State taking place on Sep. 7.
