LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Norfolk State senior
Adlene Jideofor has been selected as one of seven fellows for the 2024 Black Student Athlete Summit, the organization announced on Thursday.

Jideofor will represent the Spartans at the prestigious three-day event, taking place from May 23-26 on the campus of USC.

The summit aims to empower Black student-athletes, maximizing their college experience by making the most of opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. Open to both student-athletes and staff, each day will feature insights from a variety of strategically selected panelists.

"I'm so proud, but not surprised by Adlene's accomplishment," Norfolk State volleyball head coach
Kathy Bullock said. "She's a born leader and always strives to be the best. I'm looking forward to what God has next for her and this program."

A 5-10 middle blocker, from West Park, Fla., Jideofor racked up 71 kills and 51.0Â total blocks last season. The senior captain is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
