CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. --- The Norfolk State women's cross country team held its own against nationally ranked competition at the Panorama Farms Invitational on Friday morning.
 
The Spartans placed 15th with 437 points, posting finishes of 64-75-90-103-105.
 
Sonia Koech led the Spartans with a 6k time of 22:45.50, finishing 89th overall. Abigael Chebet followed in 102nd with a time of 23:04.60.
 
Jahmei Wyatt completed the 6k course in 23:55.70, while Moamiky Kenneh crossed the line at 25:03.80. Sophomore Amira Dailey rounded out the Spartan lineup with a time of 25:06.10.
 
Norfolk State now shifts its focus to defending its MEAC Championship on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Cary, N.C.
