CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Norfolk State women's cross country team turned in a strong performance at the Virginia Invitational, finishing ninth overall with 274 points.
Sonia Koech led the Spartans with a 48th-place finish, running 28:45.10.
Abigael Chebet followed in 77th with a time of 19:24.40.
Amira Dailey (20:31.10),
Moamiky Kenneh (20:54.90) and
Jahmei Wyatt (21:37.00) rounded out NSU's scoring lineup.
The Spartans return to action Friday, Oct. 3, at the ECU Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C.
