Clark Named MEAC Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State women's basketball junior Da'Brya Clark has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. 

Clark led the Spartans in scoring in both games during the week, recording a career-high 25 points against Shaw and followed with 21 points in the win over North Carolina A&T. She also paced the team on the glass in both contests with eight rebounds in each game.  

Defensively, Clark topped the Spartans with five steals in both outings while adding six total assists on the week.  

She shot 17-of-42 (40.5%) from the field, 7-of-23 (30.4%) from three-point range, and 5-of-7 (71.4%) from the free-throw line. 

Clark ranks among the MEAC's top all-around performers, sitting second in the conference in scoring at 13.9 points per game and first in free throw percentage at 85.7 percent (30-of-35). She is also third in the league in both three-point field goals per game (1.7) and steals per game (2.7), while ranking seventh in blocked shots (0.8).  

Additionally, Clark stands 12th in the MEAC in assists (1.9 apg) and three-point field goal percentage (25.4 percent), and 15th in overall field goal percentage (33.3 percent). 

Norfolk State returns to action on Monday, Dec. 8, when they take on Georgia Tech at 7:00 p.m. at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta, Ga.
