NORFOLK, Va. --- Graduate guard Diamond Johnson and senior forward Kierra Wheeler earned weekly MEAC honors, announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
 
Johnson earned her seventh MEAC Player of the Week accolade, following her performances in two wins against Delaware State and Coppin State last week. She averaged 22 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 steals, and 2.5 assists across the contests.
 
Against DSU, Johnson recorded 31 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. She also added 13 points, nine rebounds, seven steals, and two assists at CSU.
 
Wheeler earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, following a pair of strong defensive performances last week. She averaged 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, and 1.5 steals across two wins for the Spartans.
 
In the win against DSU, Wheeler grabbed eight rebounds, blocked four shots, and recorded two steals. She also added seven rebounds, two blocks, and one steal in the win against CSU.
