NORFOLK, Va. --- Senior forward Kierra Wheeler received her fifth Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Defensive Player of the Week accolade of the season on Monday afternoon.
Wheeler produced a strong defensive effort in an 83-37 win against South Carolina State with 16 rebounds, four blocks, and four steals. She also scored 19 points in the win.
Norfolk State returns to action at Echols Hall this evening against North Carolina Central at 4 p.m.
