WHAT: Media Credential Applications Now Open for the 2026 MEAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament
WHEN: March 11–14, 2026
WHERE: Norfolk Scope Arena, Norfolk, Va.
WHO: Media outlets interested in covering the 2026 MEAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament are invited to apply for credentials by visiting www.MEACHoops.com and selecting "Media Credential Application."

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will give priority consideration to institutional radio partners, media outlets local to the Hampton Roads, Va. area, and beat writers and photographers who regularly cover MEAC institutions. All other requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to space availability.

Credential Distribution Policies

• The credential application deadline is Friday, February 20. Requests submitted after this date will not be accepted.
• Credentials and parking passes will be issued at the discretion of the MEAC Strategic Communications Office.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee credential approval.
• Credentials are issued to working media only.
• Only one (1) application per media outlet will be accepted.
• Applications must be submitted by an authorized sports editor or news director.
• Credentials will not be issued to freelance photographers or freelance writers.
• Credentials will not be issued to equipment carriers, film runners, assistants, or similar roles.
• Credentials will not be issued to children or spouses.
• A government-issued photo ID is required to obtain a credential.
• Credentials are non-transferable.
• Credential requests will not be accepted via email.
