NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State Athletics invites Spartan Nation to kick off the 2026 football season in style at the Norfolk State Harbor Club VIP Reception and Football Kickoff Cruise Fundraiser on Friday, July 24, both presented by Chartway Federal Credit Union, the official bank of Norfolk State Athletics.
The evening will begin with the Harbor Club VIP Reception at Waterside from 7:00-9:00 p.m., offering supporters an exclusive opportunity to gather and celebrate Norfolk State Football before boarding the Spirit of Norfolk. The Kickoff Cruise will set sail at 9:30 p.m. and continue until midnight, bringing together alumni, supporters, and coaches for an unforgettable evening on the Elizabeth River.
The fundraiser serves as a celebration of Norfolk State Football and provides support for the continued growth and success of the program under head coach Michael Vick as the Spartans prepare for the 2026 campaign.
Guests will enjoy a unique nighttime cruise experience while connecting with fellow supporters of Norfolk State Athletics. The event offers an opportunity for fans to engage with the program while investing in the future of Spartan Football.

Tickets for the Kickoff Cruise are available for $100, with proceeds benefiting Norfolk State Football and enhancing program resources and opportunities for student-athletes.
Prior to the cruise, Norfolk State Athletics will host the Harbor Club VIP Reception, presented by Chartway Federal Credit Union. The exclusive dockside reception will take place from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Waterside, with tickets available for $75.
