Smith leads NSU in total pins and average this season.

NORFOLK, Va.. – Norfolk State freshman Sheila-Marie Smith (Virginia Beach, Va.) was named to the All-MEAC women's bowling second team, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Smith leads the Spartans (49-45, 14-10 MEAC) in total pins, with 8,281, and per-game average, at 188.2. Her high game of 280 at the Bowie State Invitational in January is the top game for a MEAC bowler this season.

Maria Rodriguez of defending national champion Maryland Eastern Shore was voted the MEAC Player of the Year. Kimberly Terrell-Kearney and Adriana Jamie of Delaware State were selected as the MEAC Coach and Rookie of the Year, respectively.
