NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State women's bowling team has finished the season ranked 20th in the National Tenpins Coaches Association (NTCA) top 20 poll.

The Spartans won a school-record 67 games in 2009-10, finishing the year with a 67-56 record. This marks the second straight year NSU has notched a winning record, after going 52-50 last season.

The Spartans are one of five MEAC teams ranked in the final top 20. Maryland Eastern Shore is No. 2, Delaware State is No. 6, Florida A&M is 17th and Morgan State is 19th. UMES and DSU will represent the MEAC in this weekend's eight-team field at the NCAA Women's Bowling Championship.
