Marquette led by double digits the entire second half. The Golden Eagles extended their lead to 20 points for the first time on a Crowder layup just more than six minutes into the half. He finished with just four points and two rebounds.
Despite O'Quinn's absence, NSU later reeled off a 15-3 run get within 12, 74-62, with 7:06 remaining. McEachin hit two 3-pointers and Pendarvis Williams had one in the spurt. But Marquette scored the next 19 points to pull away.

Marcos Tamares scored a career-high 17 for NSU and Williams added 13. McEachin hit five 3-pointers and Tamares canned four for NSU, which shot 11-of-24 (46 percent) from behind the arc but just 12-of-31 (39 percent) from inside the arc.
Tamares and McEachin tied for team-high honors with five rebounds apiece. Williams matched his career high with six assists, and Jamel Fuentes added four.
