NORFOLK, Va. – Sophomore Dzmitry Zyhmantovich was named MEAC Player of the Week for men's tennis the league announced on Thursday.

A native of Minsk, Belarus, Zyhmantovich posted a 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (9) victory over Richmond's Ethan Dunbar in the No. 1 singles position on March 21. He has won eight-straight singles matches.

The Spartans return to the court on Friday to take on Maryland Eastern Shore and Coppin State. Both matches will be played at the Everett Tennis Center on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan. The UMES match begins at 10 a.m., while the CSU contest will start at 1 p.m.
