NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team is looking to close out the regular season on a four-match win streak as it gets set to travel to Washington, D.C., to face Georgetown on Saturday.
NSU (11-6) posted a 6-1 win over Longwood on Tuesday to extend its win streak to three matches. The win against Longwood marked the first time in school history that the Spartans have defeated the Lancers.
The Hoyas (7-10) fell to UMBC, 4-3, on Wednesday at the Retriever Tennis Complex in Baltimore, Md. Alex Tropiano, Casey Distaso and John Brosens each claimed wins in singles play.
Play starts at 2 p.m. at the McDonough Outdoor Tennis Complex.
