GREENVILLE, N.C. – No. 72 East Carolina handed the Norfolk State men's tennis team a 6-1 defeat on Friday afternoon at the ECU Indoor Tennis Center. For the fourth straight match,
Pascal Domnik earned a win in singles play.

Domnik remained perfect in singles play in 2015, and on Friday he had to respond to a defeat in the second set at No. 1 singles. Domnik won the first set, 6-4, before ECU's Nicolas Soriano took the second, 6-2. A 6-3 win in the third set for the Spartan senior gave NSU (1-3) its only point of the day.

Daniel Grauel and
Igor Braga won several games in their matches as well. Braga faced Damien Brenard at No. 2 singles, where he dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision. Grauel, meanwhile, came up short by a 6-4, 6-2 margin at No. 3 singles to Tendai Tapfuma.

The Pirates (1-2) swept the No. 4 and No. 5 singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Colin Roller downed junior
Terey Hackney at the fourth spot, and Fredric Lehfeldt swept senior
Alex Killam at the fifth position.

In doubles, Grauel and Domnik suffered a 6-1 loss at No. 1 doubles to Roller and Tapfuma. Braga and Killam dropped a 6-0 decision to Lehfeldt and Ross Nigro at the second doubles position.

ECU won the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles matches by default.
