BALTIMORE, Md. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team had little trouble with UMES on Friday afternoon in a 5-0 victory over the Hawks in a neutral site match at the CSU Tennis Courts at Coppin State.

Alex Killam and junior
Terey Hackney earned their first collegiate wins in both singles and doubles as the Spartans (4-12) coasted to victory.

Killam posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Devin Outten at the No. 4 singles position, while Hackney downed Edwin Kanu, 6-0 and 6-1, at the third spot in the lineup. The duo also defeated those same two UMES players at No. 2 doubles by an 8-1 score.

Antonio Pejic and senior
Daniel Grauel each won in singles by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Pejic knocked off Michael Cha at the No. 1 spot, while Grauel did the same against Nicholas Brobst at the No. 2 singles slot.

Igor Braga and
Shaheed Mourillon-Swift came away with an 8-0 win over Cha and Brobst at the No. 1 doubles spot. No. 5 and 6 singles and No. 3 doubles were not played.

UMES dropped its first contest of the year after having numerous matches postponed earlier this season.
