NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State women's tennis team will look for its second consecutive victory when the Spartans travel to Harrisonburg, Va. on Saturday to take on James Madison at 2 p.m.
Coming off a 4-2 victory over Savannah State on March 12, Norfolk State looks to improve to 2-5, after dropping its first five matches of the season. Freshmen
Paula Fortuno and
Bruna Goncalves lead the Spartans in singles victories. Fortuno has recorded four wins with three coming at No. 3 position and one at the No. 4 spot, while Goncalves has registered both of her victories at the No. 4 position.
James Madison (10-5) has dropped three of its last four matches, but recorded a 7-0 victory over Hofstra on Tuesday. The Dukes will host Duquese on Saturday morning before the Spartans and James Madison meet.
