"The freshmen really stepped up big on the men's side," NSU Director of Track & Field Kenneth Giles said. "Camren really led the way … he was a stud this weekend. Rodric also came up with key points for us, scoring in both the long and triple jump."

Sophomore Azad Williams led the Spartan throwers with a fourth-place finish in the shot put (48-8.75). Rayquan Smith took eighth in the discus (124-3).

"This season has been like no other in my career," Giles said. "With our athletes coming out of quarantine and the lack of quality training because of the pandemic made it hard for us. But I am very pleased with their performance."

The Spartans will wait to see how many of their athletes qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary round, which takes place later this month in Jacksonville, Florida.
