NORFOLK, Va. --- The Norfolk State women's basketball team collected multiple postseason honors at the MEAC Basketball Awards on Tuesday evening.

Jasha Clinton earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Year honors, while
Da'Brya Clark received All-MEAC First Team recognition.
Anjanae Richardson joined Clinton on the All-MEAC Second Team, and both Clinton and Clark earned spots on the MEAC All-Defensive Team.

Clinton anchored the Spartans' defense this season, ranking ninth nationally in steals per game (3.4) and 10th in total steals (100). She also averaged 13.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.

Clinton becomes the third player in Norfolk State history to earn MEAC Defensive Player of the Year honors, joining
Chanette Hicks (2019-20) and Camille Downs (2021-22, 2022-23).

Clark led the Spartans offensively, averaging 14.0 points per game. She added 5.1 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.2 assists and 1.0 block per contest. Clark also knocked down 67 3-pointers this season, which currently ranks second in program history for a single season.

Richardson provided a spark in key moments for the Spartans, averaging 10.6 points per game. She also recorded 4.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.2 steals per contest.

Norfolk State opens the 2026 MEAC Women's Basketball Tournament as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 seed Morgan State in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 12. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at the Norfolk Scope Arena.
