NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State University junior Stepanka Velebova (Tachov, Czech Republic) was named to the All-MEAC second team, the conference announced on Thursday.
Velebova led the Spartans with a 7-3 singles record this season, all at the No. 1 position. She joined with senior Lerissa Morris (Kingstown, SVG) to go 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Hampton University's Na-Hyun Baek was named the 2009 MEAC Player of the Year, while Trey Bogue of Bethune-Cookman was named Coach of the Year.
