PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Norfolk State women's cross country team capped their 2010 season with a third-place finish on Saturday at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship on the campus of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Hampton won the women's title with 52 points, South Carolina State was second with 85 points, and the Spartan women were third with 92.

The Spartan women had two All-MEAC finishers. Senior Jennifer Chichester (Silver Spring, Md.) earned her fourth consecutive all-conference honor, finishing third overall in 18:26.80. Sophomore Kellen Rutto (Eldoret, Kenya) finished fifth in a personal-best 5,000-meter time of 18:31.50.

Rounding out NSU's top five were Jamia Hutto (Orlando, Fla.) in 19th place (19:38.60), Syeeda Gee (Philadelphia, Pa.) in 29th (20:22.70) and Lillian Morales-Gonzalez (San Antonio, Texas) in 36th (21:05.80).
