NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State's home football game against Howard on Sept. 15 has been chosen as one of seven MEAC games to be broadcast on ESPNU as part of the league's yearly television package, the conference announced.
The game will still kick off at 4 p.m. at Dick Price Stadium as originally scheduled. ESPNU will broadcast the game on a tape-delayed basis at 10:30 p.m. ET that same night.
This will be the Spartans' 12th-ever game to air on one of the ESPN networks, all coming since 2005 when the conference signed its contract with the network. The Spartans are 3-8 in the previous 11 games, including a 2-5 mark at home.
The Sept. 15 game will be the MEAC opener for both teams. Due to TV restrictions, it will be the only Spartan home game this fall not to be video streamed at www.nsuspartans.com.
