WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Junior Adugna Desalegn paced the Spartan women's cross country team for the third straight week, finishing 22nd on Friday evening at the William & Mary Invitational.

Desalegn finished the 5,000-meter course in 20 minutes, 21.9 seconds for NSU, which finished sixth as a team. Rachel Webb was NSU's next-highest finisher, clocking a time of 20:33 to place 28th overall.

Kaydianne McKenzie, Jazmine Vaughan and Amethyst Edmond rounded out the Spartans' top five. McKenzie was 51st in 25:07.1, Vaughan was 52nd in 25:45.9 and Edmond was 53rd in 30:34.9.

The Spartans are back in action next Saturday as they compete in their second meet of the year at Maryland Eastern Shore, the Cappy Anderson Invitational.
