PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Junior Rachel Webb posted a personal-best 5K time of 19 minutes, 51.35 seconds on Saturday as the Spartan women's cross country team finished sixth at the Cappy Anderson Invitational hosted by UMES.

Webb, who paced NSU for the first time this season, finished 10th overall. Adugna Desalegn was the next-highest Spartan finisher. She crossed the line 18th in 20:33.61. Senior Kassandra Irizarry was the third Spartan to finish, placing 34th in 22:45.50. 

Kaydianne McKenzie (23:47.54) and Courtney Kearse (28:24.44) rounded out the top five for NSU, placing 42nd and 58th, respectively. 

NSU has next week off before returning to action on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Delaware State Hornet Invitational in Dover, Del.
